GALLOWS BANNED BY DISNEY AND ANNOUNCE SPECIAL LONDON SHOWS

January 21st, 2008 by admin

Currently roaring through America on their first stateside headline tour, Gallows were due to support Californian punk legends Social Distortion at the House Of Blues venue on Disneyland in Anaheim, Orange County this Tuesday 22nd of January. However, due to Disney taking offence to the lyrical content spread across their debut album ‘Orchestra Of Wolves’ the band have been removed from the bill.

“I think Mickey Mouse got jealous that Minnie Mouse had Gallows posters on her wall,” remarks Gallows guitarist Laurent Barnard. “That kind of stuff happens a lot. I recommend Mickey shows Minnie some more attention, you know, take her out and make her feel special. Cartoon mice need love too.”

Social Distortion will still play as planned.

In other news, a year on from their now-legendary appearance at the 100 Club back in March of 2007, Gallows are excited to return to the 100 Club for two headline shows on the 3rd and 4th of March. Support on the 3rd comes from Set Your Goals, support for the 4th is yet to be confirmed.

Tickets are now available from the following link:

On February 25th the band will release a seven-inch single and download version of the classic ‘Orchestra Of Wolves’ stand-out track ‘Just Because You Sleep Next To Me Doesn’t Mean You’re Safe’ (deleted on day of release). Then, on March 3rd the band will release a limited-edition ‘Live At The 100 Club’ – CD/DVD of that ferocious performance from 6th of March in 2007, capturing the true hysteria of the night in all its glory.

Prior to that, Gallows kick off 2008 in the UK with scorching punk rock tour that is due to explode across the country this February. Support comes from snarling Canadian punk giants Fucked Up, Californian hardcore heroes Set Your Goals and Liverpool skate-thrashers SSS.
